Saisei Ventures

Saisei Ventures is a science-focused VC firm that bridges the gap between biotech innovation and global entrepreneurship. For their digital presence, we needed to create a bilingual platform that felt equally resonant in Western and Japanese markets; a task requiring deep cultural nuance and a minimalist, high-tech aesthetic.

My design approach was heavily inspired by the geometric precision of Japanese designer Ikko Tanaka. I developed a visual system that used minimalist shapes to differentiate Saisei within the bio-engineering sector, emphasizing their global reach and scientific expertise. The challenge was maintaining visual consistency across both English and Japanese scripts, which I achieved through a rigid grid system and careful typographic balancing. The project not only increased global user engagement but also solidified Saisei’s reputation as a trusted, sophisticated collaborator in the international venture capital space.
